Crackers
Sheniqua was walking home from the old corner store to pick up a box of saltine crackers. She was very hungry, she hadn’t eaten in days. Her family was very, very poor and she didn’t get to eat often. She was so happy to finally have a bite to eat. She opened up the box and grabbed a handful of the crackers out. She greedily stuffed the crackers into her mouth. Chewing the food, she felt something furry inside her mouth. She reached her fingers into her mouth and pulled out a small, torn furry leg. She felt a gag, and spit everything out of her mouth. In the pile of half-chewed crackers was a small tarantula half alive and soaked in her saliva. Shocked with fear, she passed out.

The scariest thing that’s ever happened to me...
On a cold morning in October, I went out of my front door to see a mangled body nailed to the wall. Blood was all over the wall and the concrete patio. Guts were pinned to the wall, and there were nicely organized piles of it on the floor. A little freaked out, I jumped, stumbled and fell. Trying to catch myself, I put my hands in front of me. They slipped in the pool of blood and my face fell into a pile of entrails. My mouth was filled with the blood soaked innards and I felt like I was going to puke. Slowly pushing my body up, I took a closer look at the body. He was naked, which made the situation even less pleasant. There were symbols painted in blood all over him. I didn’t recognize most of them, but I did see a pentagram around his belly button. Wow, a psycho SATANIC freak killer’s somewhere near me, things just keep getting better and better. I recognized the corpse from somewhere. It was hard to make out who he was, people look a little different when they’re dead and torn apart. I thought about it and realized it was one of my neighbors from across the street. I didn’t know him well, but it still made me sad to see this happen to him. Ok, I wasn’t really sad, I just said that so I wouldn’t seem like a bad person. I thought about calling the police, but I thought it would be easier to just throw the body away in the dumpster. I grabbed him by the waist and yanked him off the wall. The head of the nails went through his body, squirting blood in every direction. I heaved him over my shoulder. He wasn’t very heavy, probably because all of his guts were gone. I walked him over to the dumpster, opened it, and dropped the body in, on top of the three others.

The Nicest Thing I've Ever Done
One day, as I was walking home from school, I saw a one legged cat limping along the side of the road. Most of it's black fur had been ripped off, and the spots of fur it did have was soaked in it's blood. Pitying the poor creature, I lifted it in my arms. It clung to me like a baby and it's blood soaked through my t-shirt. Disgusted, I dropped the cat in the middle of the street as a 16 wheeler just came around the corner. Realizing the cat would get hit, I pulled the shotgun out of my utility belt and blew the redneck drivers head right off his shoulders. The truck flew off the road out of the way of the cat. The cat happily limped off the road.

Recording Day 2
10/10/09
Trevor and Cody came over to my house this weekend so we can work on the lyrics to the song. We already had a basic idea of what we wanted the song to be about, but we needed more information to write it into lyrics. So the three of us went online for some more info. We actually learned a lot about it, and became very interested in the story of it. I’m glad the song’s about something we’re actually interested in. But even after all that research, we still couldn’t get any lyrics, which is going to be a problem. With only 3 days left until the song is due for the contest, we’ve got a problem.

Recording Day 1
10/7/09
My band, Charun, started recording our song (which is yet to be titled) which we are going to enter into the contest, “SchoolJam”. We (Cody McGovran, Trevor Boyd, Anthony Heinz and I) had to move all of the recording equipment from the music room to the room next door to it, due to the music classes throughout the day. I started by recording my rhythm part, and it took me a few tries to get the part perfect. With that done, we moved on to Trevor’s bass part. After a few tries, he still needed some help with it, so we took a break from recording while he practiced his part. When we started recording his part again, it took him a few tries, but after a while he got the part perfect.
